Wayfaring Strangers: Guitar Soli

(as of 01/18/2018 at 01:32 UTC)

Something of a follow up the 2006 record Ladies From The Canyon, Soli follows the floundering private folk market, bridging the gap between American Primitive pioneers John Fahey, Robbie Basho, and Leo Kottke, and the California Modernists William Ackerman, Alex de Grass, and Michael Hedges, Guitar Soli explores the private side of the solo guitar movement from 1966-1981. The CD comes packaged in a sturdy chipboard Numero slipcase with art by Mike Davis and a massive booklet with essays by Jim Ohlschmindt and Dan Lambert, and! a handy suggested listening guide should you choose to delve a little deeper.
